Charles “Bill” Crowl, CPA, PFS

Financial Advisor

I graduated from Texas Tech University and I am a certified public accountant, Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Texas Society of CPAs, and licensed in the state of Texas.

I founded Crowl & Associates in 1979 after leaving a large public accounting firm in Houston. My wife, Holly, and I were drawn to the community atmosphere Conroe offered. I have since been active in local and state politics, the Rotary Club, church activities, including being treasurer, and school programs associated with my three children, who were educated in the Conroe Independent School District. I currently serve on the board of directors for Meals on Wheels Montgomery County, which offers me a unique opportunity to work with the community’s elders, who have given me so much.

In January of 2020, my daughter Kimberly and I formed a new entity, Crowl Wealth Management, LLC. From here, we hope to continue to work together in helping our clients reach their financial goals.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my three kids, who all live in the Conroe area, and my three grandchildren. My wife and I also love to travel the world and have new experiences!

Quotes I live by:

“Pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered!!”

“Time in the market, not timing the market.”

My all-time favorite:

“Do unto others as you want them to do to you.”

Kimberly Steed, CFP®, MBA

Financial Advisor

In 2016, I decided to join the family business. Prior to joining the team, I attended Texas Tech University (Wreck 'em!), where I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and a Master of Business Administration from the Rawls College of Business. During my MBA program, I was awarded the Excellence in Management Award by the faculty for my leadership and business acumen.

Since childhood, whenever anyone would ask me what I wanted to do with my life, I always answered, “I want to help people.” Throughout my formative years, I was all over the spectrum of “helping people,” from wanting to teach, work for a nonprofit, etc., but I ended up finding my true passion in behavioral finance. While the technical side of the business is fascinating, helping people navigate through the complicated, stressful, exciting, and always emotional aspects of their financial lives is one of my biggest joys. I feel blessed to be learning from one of the best mentors in the world (although I may be a little biased on this one)—my dad!

I hold FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations and am licensed to provide life and health insurance. I am also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, which is widely recognized as the highest designation in the field. I am so excited to take this next step as a partner at Crowl Wealth Management, LLC, and to continue treating our clients and friends like they are family!

Outside the office, you can find me spending time with my husband, Patrick, our daughter, Annie Bea and our Labradoodle, Allie, enjoying time with friends or family, cheering on my Texas Tech Red Raiders in any and all sports, or traveling the world. I also devote my time serving on the board of directors for the Community Assistance Center and volunteering with Junior League of The Woodlands, where I work diligently to make the Montgomery County community a better place to live and work. At lunchtime on Mondays, you will find me at a local school enjoying time with the student I mentor through the Project Mentor program. Growing up in Conroe, I take a certain pride in giving back to the community that has given me so much!
